What is The How and Why?
The
How and Why deals with applied knowledge. The articles here convey
how knowledge of science and mathematics is applied to create
and manipulate technology and to understand the physical universe.
Most
sites that offer similar discussions have either very general,
shallow explanations, or very narrow, technical explanations.
Here, therefore, there is an effort to synthesize those two common
approaches to get the best of both worlds--articles that convey
just the right amount of high-level analysis with a touch of depth.
A large amount of time is spent doing research and verifying that
everything is as accurately explained and easy to follow as possible.
In the event that even one person needs more clarification on
anything, there is a section in The
How and Why Forums for that.
The
goal is for the reader to acquire a deeper, more intuitive understanding
of everyday life around us, of which most of us are so little
aware.
Note:
The philosophy of understanding
is a recommended read before entering further into the site!
